    Affair of the Heart Ball
    An evening of dining, dancing and special recognitions.  Scholarship awarded to
    area high school student(s).  Saturday, February 11, 2012, Airport Hilton Hotel.

Historically Black College & University Expo (HBCU)
    Provides opportunity for high school students to meet with college representatives
    and learn strategies for success.

    
Scarboro Share Day/Science in Everyday Experience (SEE)
     A day of activities designed to help African American families with their knowledge
     of math and science.

    
Adopt-A-Street
    Two streets in the Scarboro community are cleaned once per month.

    
Delta Academy & GEMS
    Dr. betty Shabazz Delta Academy focuses on girls from 11-14 to help develop a               
     positive self-image.
    Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully (GEMS) is a program for teenage              
     girls between the ages of 14 and 18 to develop into strong, confident and respectful         
     young ladies.

    
Sallie McCaskill Memorial Scholarship Fund
    An annual scholarship is presented to a high school senior to assist with college               
    expenses.  The scholarship fund is in memory of Sallie McCaskill, a long-time                     
    resident of Oak Ridge, TN.
