DOOR (Deltas of Oak Ridge) is an arm of the Oak Ridge Alumnae Chapter. It's an
organization that opens up the world for people in our community in East Tennessee. DOOR sponsors and conducts educational programs to provide information, exposure, connections, and opportunities for youth to move toward their goals. DOOR is a 501(c)(3) philanthropic non-profit organization established in 2001, to which tax-exempt donations and contributions are welcomed. Our members comprise the Oak Ridge Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
The organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and/or scientific purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The principal objectives and goals of this public service organization shall be:
A) To support the goals and objectives of the Oak Ridge Alumnae Chapter of
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. by engaging in public service programs, promoting and encouraging achievements in education through scholarships and other assistance that will significantly improve the quality of life for youth and adults in our community.
B) To raise funds to support our community service projects and to acquire a
Delta Life Center.
C) To establish, maintain and encourage high cultural, intellectual and moral
standards among its members.
